Manuel Fernández Martínez holds a PhD degree in Physics by the University of Helsinki. He is postdoctoral researcher at the Unit 836-6 of the Inserm (Institut National de la Sante et de la Recherche Medical) in the Biomedical beamline of the ESRF (European Synchrotron Radiation Facility) in Grenoble, France.
His research interests include, on one hand, medical imaging for breast diagnosis and small-angle x-ray scattering (SAXS) of biological tissues and on the other hand, radio and chemotherapy of brain glioblastoma by synchrotron stereotactioc radiation radiotherapy (SSRT) and photoactivation of heavy elements.
