Rose McArthur, BA (Hons) MIHT is an Associate Director of Buchanan Consoltores. She is one of the most significant and well known experts in the mobility management discipline. Rose is head of the dedicated Sustainable Travel Team, UK wide, for Colin Buchanan. She has extensive experience in the smarter choices discipline for both the public and private sectors.

She is an elected Board Director of the ACT TravelWise Association, the national governing body for travel planners that represents over 3 million individuals across the United Kingdom and Ireland. On behalf of ACT TravelWise she leads the educational programme, managing a series of Travel Planning master classes, training and seminars.

Rose is a respected lead in all areas of the Travel Planning discipline and has been heavily involved in pushing Smarter Choices forward to achieve the strategic objectives of influencing a shift towards more sustainable modes of travel.

She is a regular author of practical implementation guides for travel plans; she is involved in the development of best practice guidance for universities, government organisations, private sector clients and public sector audiences.

She has been involved with demonstrating the benefits of travel plans to private companies working with them to ensure successful adoption of travel planning practices whether this is voluntarily or as a request through the planning process.

Rose understands the absolute importance of Travel Planning and accessibility planning for private businesses, having helped over 270 organisations deliver their travel plans in the most cost effective and efficient way.

Rose lives in the Notting Hill area of London, but very much enjoys escaping the city to go walking and mountain biking in the hills of Wales. She enjoys spending time with her friends and family and visiting Spanish cities like Sabadell!
